Jessica Ashley Kahal Gave a Magical Performance at the Renowned Armstrong Theater

Jessica Ashley Kahal is a young flutist who has worked with several orchestras & has also performed solo pieces in many concerts. As a member of her high school Orchestra, she got the opportunity to perform with them in their winter concert at the Armstrong Theater.

The orchestra program consisted of the Chamber Orchestra and the Symphonic Orchestra. The highlights of the program included - the Theme from Forrest Gump, Schumann’s Symphony No. 1, Movement IV, and the Mozart, Flute Concerto in D Major, Movement I. In the concert, Jessica Ashley Kahal was the featured flutist and also a featured student conductor. In both these roles, she was highly applauded for doing a wonderful job.

Jessica Ashley Kahal also has fond memories of performing with her high school choir, called “Varsity Voices”. She had a great time touring with them to Washington DC, New York City, and Philadelphia. Performing at the Kennedy Center as part of a special invitation was one of the most special moments for her. Besides that, she also performed in a candlelight memorial for the 9/11 attacks with her high school choir. For her solo flute performance, she chose her favorite “Danny Boy”, while the combined choirs sang “America the Beautiful” and “This Is My Country”, which was directed by the talented Pat Maddaford.
